I saw someone suggesting such a trade. The Mavs will have to wait until draft day to trade their 2025 pick. Time Load is said to be able to return for the 2024-2025 season and has a two-year contract at a bargain price remaining. The Blazers will be blessed with a pick if his services don't return to their previous form. It's possible that his knee may not return to its former state. His November 2023 surgery was a right knee ligament repair, following a left knee meniscus tear in March 2022. Therefore, trading him before it's known he's completely unable to play wouldn't be a bad move. The Mavs are taking that risk.

I'm hoping that with the Dubs' pick, we draft Izan Almansa and bring him in as a backup five. I'd prefer having someone who might be able to play rather than entrusting it to an uncertain player. Do you think this could happen?
