The Warriors need to clear their books so they can re-sign Klay & extend Kaminga. They need to lower their tax bill and with new CBA they are limited. This gives them some breathing room with Browns contract only 1 more year. Brown is a great glue guy that plays very well with good players around him. Moses moody is thrown in because Toronto is taking the long term Wiggins contract. Not sure if GSW would be extending Moody anyway?

Toronto does this to take a chance on Wiggins ( even though he is on a very risky contract). If he can get better than he is a good fit. Toronto takes a flyer on Moody to see if he’s a keeper.
