Cade is as legit as a prospect can be. He has his holes; below average athleticism, a shot that may need some development, and not elite defense. However that is overshadowed by what he can be; a multipositional defender, sharp shooting pick and roll maestro who controls the game to a tee.

Evan Mobley wishes I can do a 1A and 1B, he is that good. He is the most complete prospect in the draft with maybe the highest ceiling. He is already an elite defensive anchor who can switch, with a buttery mid range. Just expand that shot to three, work on the handle (which is already nice), and bulk up, this guy will be an MVP

START OF TIER 2: Suggs has IT. He has the fire that is impossible to find, the desire to win and be the leader doing it. That by itself is enough for me, but he has the skills to match. He can catch and shoot and create his own. He is a master in the pick and roll and one of the best defensive guards in the country. While the Gonzaga system has helped, I believe he has helped them even more.

Jalen makes me think a lot of weird things. When I watch him play I see Kobe Bryant. Feels weird to say that, but I see a young Afro Kobe. But then I wonder why I don't have him higher? He has all the same skills and gifts, but I don't see the same fire. If I'm right, he's probably a Zach Lavine, which is really good. If I'm wrong, he can be a 2001-2003 Kobe Bryant, which is hall of fame. If he puts worth that consistent effort, he can be the best player in the class

Probably the first truly controversial pick I have had so far. I just love Scottie. He has the fire, and he obviously has fun playing basketball. Someone with his gifts could play just because he can, he plays because its so much fun. On top of that, he is elite at every aspect of the game (except one). His passing, defense, athleticism, finishing, and IQ will all translate instantly. He is basically a can't miss high level role player. If his shooting translates he is a legit super star kinda guy. It is the ultimate swing skill in this class.

Moses, even when he doesn't put up stats, impresses me. His defense is awesome and his arms go on forever. He fights for every loose ball and gets an odd amount of offensive boards. He is in the right place at the right time. When he is getting the ball he goes up a notch. He can stand to work on his playmaking but he will instantly be a high level role player, and I love those guys, they tend to work recently (Mikal, Hunter)

Everyone knows the good about Kuminga, and for that reason, most everyone has him higher on their boards. So I will more explain the negatives to validate him slipping a little bit. I don't see the heart or the basketball IQ. He looks like he plays because he's a big body that can jump, not because he understands or loves the game. Maybe I am wrong, but that is what I saw in the G-League. I don't see the shooting yet. I expect this to work itself out, I'm more confident with his shot than Scotties, but it def needs to be talked about. He wastes his tools on defense as well, which is so disappointing. Remember I still have him 6th because of the good, but there is a lot to be worked on; he is the project pick.

START OF TIER 4 I've watched enough Joe Ingles to know this guy can be special. Another case of brilliant basketball IQ, sweet passing, and a pretty stroke all in a big wings frame. Franz competes HARD, reminds me of his brother in that sense, and I think that the fans of most teams will not be a fan of this guy. He will be a pest, partly because of his lock down defense, partly because of his odd ability to always know where to be. I have no doubt this dude will contribute, but depending on his mid range shot, will decide wether he is an all star or not.

Ceiling: Better passing Hayward Floor: Younger Bojan

The most unheralded prospect in this draft, and I can't understand why. His ceiling may be a little lower but he can everything pretty proficiently. His defense and athleticism immediately translate. Hopefully his jumpshot this year is sustainable, that's the swing skill. But his playmaking, defense, and clutchness (most clutch player in the NCAA) make him a no brainer top 10 guy in my eyes.

Ceiling: Jrue Holiday + Floor: Derek Fisher

This pick is much more potential based than most of mine. He has all the tools to be a multiple time all star, but he also has the skills now to not make it off the bench. He HAS to land in a good spot (Denver or Golden State would be nice) in order to truly develop. But that lightning quick first step, that developing jumpshot, and the out of this world athleticism is enough for me.

Kai Jones is my kryptonite. I get waaaayyy too high on raw shot blocking college players; I thought Mo Bamba was maybe the best prospect in the draft and that WCS would be Dikembe. What Rudy gobert does to a man. But I think Kai can be right. Texas is making good centers; myles turner, Jarrett Allen, and Bamba still has potential. I think that Kai will be a perfect 4/5. Switchable, a shooter, and with great rim protection, while being a freak athletically. If his shooting works, this man is a consistent guy people will say "how is he not an allstar?"

START OF TIER 5 I promise you that this man will make sooo much money in his NBA career. He can do one thing right now, shoot. I don't want him dribbling or passing, please just shoot the ball. He has a great feel for the court and is a solid team defender. He won't be flashy, but he will make wins happen ala Duncan Robinson. If he lands on the Pelicans or the 76ers or heaven forbid the Lakers, rip the league

I love him as a prospect basketball wise, not sure about his character. He kinda quit on his team when the going got rough, and when he was no longer the focal point of an offense. Hopefully he can work past that. However, hs skill cannot be denied. He can shoot (probably), defend, pass, and run. He is the prototypical do it all wing or small ball 5. Hopefully he can keep the injury bug away.

Only two knocks against this guy; age and size. He is so good at basically everything, and really reminds me of Donovan Mitchell, everything about him. He can lock up, but when given a bigger offensive role he kinda throws that to the way side. He got some nice handles and his jumpshot is buttery. Too bad hes so old but this guy will rise in draft boards, probably mine as well.

If you want a bucket, call up Bouknight. He has a way of putting the ball in the hoop that is almost unmatched in the class. He shifts his body in such odd ways and doesn't play very fluid but it ends up working. I think he will -probably- be an elite sixth man but the potential for more is very enticing.

This guy will help teams win games. Defense is his calling card, and he will wreck teams with his. Uber switchable, with crazy arms and an NBA body/athleticism, this dude will be an NBA player. If you expect good defense, great. This dude will give it to you. Good offense, wait 3 years. Think Montrezl Harrell but with defense

START OF TIER 6 Josh Giddey I don’t know why I was sleeping so hard on Giddey before. The kid is legit. His passing and ball handling are already NBA skills that will keep him in the league for years to come. Him being a tall, big point guard makes him super valuable. While his offense is fine, it is his defense that will make or break his stardom. He plays with heart on that end, so I have confidence. Hopefully his height and versatility will be enough to make him passable. Comparison: Satoransky +

Isaiah Jackson Jackson really grew on me as the season went on, and was the lone bright spot in Kentucky's season. His athleticism is legit, and his energy is contagious. I trust his defense for sure, and if the shooting translates he is a great glue guy. Comparison: Nerlens Noel

START OF TIER 7 Jaden Springer More I’ve watched, the less I am a fan of Springer. I don’t trust his offense at all at the next level. His defense will translate, and he will be a beast in transition, but I am unsure about the rest. He has the potential, and should be a first round pick for that reason, but some have him in the lottery and I just don’t get that

Cam Thomas Another dude who can just put the ball in the basket. That is maybe the only good thing he can do. He can score score score, from everywhere on the court. He has a nice frame as well. However his passing, defense, and shot selection could use some work. I really like him as a sixth man, only meant to put the ball in the basket. Comparison: Lou Williams

Ceiling: Vinnie Johnson Floor: Dion Waiters, but not his peak

Herb Jones This dude gets no credit at all. I am POSITIVE this dude will get playing time on really good teams in the league. Maybe as a bench dude, maybe as a starter. I am POSITIVE he will be a plus defender from day 1. He has elite athleticism and always knows where to be. He should be able to guard 2 positions at worst, 5 at best. His shot looks well enough, and that is his swing skill. If the shot works, he can be a star. If it doesn’t, he can still contribute Comparison: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson

Roko Prkacin I really like this guys scoring potential. He is super smooth with the ball and his finishing is elite. His jumpshot needs some serious work, and at this point is probably only a spot up guy, but in the midrange I bet he can be immediately helpful. Chris Duarte This dude screams Desmond Bane, and for that reason he will probably climb up my board. He will immediately be able to hit shots and cut and play defense. Day’ron Sharpe Just looking at this guy, you think that there is no chance he does anything in the league. He won’t be mobile enough, he’ll be killed in pick and rolls, the game is moving away from the post. However, watching his film you see something that could be special. He is very surprisingly mobile for someone his size, and his best skill on offense may be his passing. The passes to the corners he will make out of the pick and roll will be something to behold. Of course there are flaws; his defense isn’t great yet, and his offense is somewhat raw. However, I expect this guy to continue to climb up my board. Comparison: Jusuf Nurkic

Ceiling: Derrick Favors +++ Floor: Tony Bradley

Taevyion Kinsey Kinsey isn’t getting nearly enough hype in my opinion. He got bounce for days (look up some of his high school highlights), and he has some of the best functional athleticism in the draft. That means that, while a player like a Greg Brown (who slipped out of my big board) has insane bounce and can fly out of the gym, doesn’t use it during the course of the game. Kinsey uses his quick first step and insane jump to be an elite finisher, and his long arms to swallow defenders. I believe that his scoring will maybe take a bit to translate, but he will always be a good enough defender. The swing skill is the 3 point shot, if that clicks this dude is legit Comparison: Hamidou Diallo

Ceiling: Terrence Ferguson if he worked out Floor: Yuta Wantanabe

Amar Sylla He NEEDS to land in a good system. He is super raw and no where close to contributing on the NBA level. However, his highlights in his body, (long fluid 6’9 with room for more muscle) are definitely impressive. He can run, slide, and jump with the best of them. I hope for him he pays off, and maybe after a few years in the G-League, this guy is shocking people as an uber athletic forward with a knack for getting to the paint Comparison: Pascal Siakam

Neemias Queta I need to watch more, because I have seen enough of this dudes ultimate swing skill. His feet have looked pretty heavy at points, but other times he looks amazingly agile. This dude is an insane rim protector, and the way he deters shots is legit Rudy like. His shot isn’t terribly ugly, his passing is nice, and his post moves have real potential. He is still kinda raw on the offensive end, but all the pieces are there. If he can stick well enough on the perimeter this dude is making it big
