The Wizards are on the clock with the 1st overall pick, and there is an obvious choice for them here. Cade Cunningham is a really special player. He is probably the best two way player in the draft. He can shoot, he can score inside the arch, he can create offence, he can rebound, he can defender multiple positions, he can play multiple positions, he has great size for a guard/wing, and he has sky high potential. Everything I just said is understating how good Cade is. Probably the best part about him is his Floor and his Ceiling. His floor is a high end starter/fringe all star. That’s amazing. That’s one of the highest floors we have seen in a long time. His ceiling though? He has the potential to become one of the best players in the NBA, maybe even better. That’s how good Cade is, and if the Wizards were to go with anyone else, they would be crazy.

The Wolves are on the clock with the 2nd pick on the draft, and they are selecting Evan Mobley. Mobley is probably the only player that could maybe be drafted ahead of Cade. When you watch Mobley, there is one Comp that you think about, and that is Chris Bosh. Evan Mobley and Chris Bosh are very very similar players. If you don’t m ow who Chris Bosh is, I’ll tell you what Mobley does. He can protect the rim, he can create offence from any area of the floor, he can finish around the rim, he can defender, he has great size for a modern day big: basically anything you could want out of a big man in today’s game. Mobley has the potential to become one of the best big men in the league, and he could become even better than that. Mobley is an obvious choice here for the Wolves and Mobley could do great things for them.

The Pistons are on the clock with the 3rd pick in the draft, and they select the best player available, Jalen Suggs. Before the College Basketball season started, Suggs was considered to be a mid to late lottery pick. Well, that changes very quickly. Suggs has had a monster year for the best college basketball team in America, Gonzaga. He has played tremendously well on offence. He can draw fouls, he can finish around the rim, he can create offence, he is a great cutter, he is great in transition, and he is very aggressive on both ends of the floor. Suggs aggressiveness along with the rest of his skills could translate quite well into the NBA. His ceiling is quite high and he could become a special player in the NBA. He is the obvious choice here for the Pistons, and I can’t wait to see this kid play some NBA minutes.

The Pelicans are on the clock with the 4th pick in the draft, and the select Jalen Green. With Lonzo Ball becoming an RFA at the end of the season, and the Pelicans not looking like they want to keep him, they may need to go out and find a replacement for him in this draft. Luckily, this class is loaded with guards. Green is the best one available at this point in the draft. Green has almost no holes in his game. He is a great player on both ends of the floor, and he is probably the best score in the draft. Unfortunately, we have not been able to see Green play because he is on the G-League Ignite team, and the G-League season won’t start until mid February. That’s why Greens stock has fallen a little bit, but once we get to see him in action, I’m sure he will be back up near the top of a lot of big boards.

The Thunder are on the clock with the 5th pick in the draft, and they select the best player available, Jonathan Kuminga. Kuminga has all the physical tools to become a great PF in the NBA. He isn’t the greatest on offence but his defence makes up for that. One Comp that a lot of experts are giving to Kuminga is Kawhi Leonard. We haven’t been able to see if that’s true because like Green, Kuminga is on the G-League Ignite team, so we have to wait a little while longer to see if the experts are right. If they are right, then we know that Kuminga is a special player. He would be getting drafted into a great situation and he could become one of the leagues best PFs if he reaches his potential. His ceiling is probably high end All star or even better than that. He could become a special player in the NBA, but it may take time.

The Kings pick has just fallen outside of the top tier talent, so they decide to trade down 6 spots and get young talent for the pick.

Raptors receive: 6th Overall Pick

Kings Receive: 12th Overall pick, Chris Boucher, and Terrence Davis, future Second Round Draft Pick

The Toronto Raptors are on the clock with the 6th pick, and the select Scottie Barnes. Barnes and OG are two very similar players, and both of them being on the same team would be absolutely amazing. The Raptors would immediately become one of the best defensive teams in the league with drafting Barnes, as he is one of the best defenders in the draft. The Raptors would be happy to draft him at 6 if they could trade up to this pick.

The Orlando Magic are on the clock, and they are selecting Zhaire Williams. Williams doesn’t have the greatest frame, but if he can fill that out he could become a solid defender in the NBA. He has great reach and he is light on his feet, allowing him to guard smaller guards. He has the potential to become a really solid player in the NBA. He could be a good backcourt partner with Fultz and could grow besides Issac and Anthony.

The Knicks are on the clock with the 8th pick in the draft, and they select Jalen Johnson. It’s seems that they have finally found their PG, so they finally don’t have to pick a PG in the draft. Now they can actually dress other needs, and one big need is at the wing. The Knicks don’t have good depth at Wing, and this draft could help with that. The player that they would probably prefer, Zhaire Williams, has been taken just before them, so they go with the next best option and draft Jalen Johnson. Johnson is basically the Obi Toppin of this draft. He has big time hops and can throw down monster slams. He is also a decent rim protector, which would be another good reason for the Knicks to draft him. Johnson could become their next wing and would be a good fit with the rest of the team.

The Bulls are on the clock with the 9th pick in the draft, and they are selecting Moses Moody. Lavine would be entering the last year of his contract and with the way this team has been playing, it is not looking like Lavine would want to stick around, so with the potential of Lavine leaving in 2022, Moody could be the pick. Moody is a great two way player. He is an above average defender and a good shooter, and he would be a good pairing with White in the backcourt. If the Bulls do end up keeping Lavine around, Moody could be a solid backup and would make the Bulls bench much better than it is right now. I can’t really see them going with anyone else at this point in the draft.

The Hornets are on the clock with the 10th pick in the draft, and they are selecting Greg Brown. Brown is a guy that is really good, but it doesn’t show in his stats. Brown has shown that he can be a plus defender for Texas. Brown might be the best athlete in the draft, as we have seen him throw down some monster jams and get big time blocks. He would fit well with the Hornets lineup and could help make the Hornets a playoff team. The Hornets already have a great young core with Washington, Graham, and LaMelo. Adding Brown into the mix would help this team big time if he plays the way he looks like he can play.

OKC is on the clock with the 11th pick in the draft, and they select James Bouknight. Having already drafted Kuminga, the Thunder may be looking for someone to pair with SGA in the backcourt. Bouknight is probably the best option available. He is currently putting up really good stats for UConn, and if he is legit, and he can keep these stats up, he could start rising up rankings. Bouknight would be a great fit with SGA and those two could grow together for the coming years.

The Spurs are on the Clock with the 12th pick in the draft, and they select Usman Garuba. I dont know all that much about Usman, but what I know makes me think that he could potential crack the lottery. The Spurs love these types of players, and with Aldridge, Derozan, and Gay all on expiring deals, the Spurs may want to go with a big man, and this might be their guy.

The Knicks are on the clock with the 13th pick in the draft, and they select Day’Ron Sharpe. Shadow is the type of player that impacts the game in ways that don’t show up in the stats. When you watch him play, you know that he’s a special player. It’s almost crazy to think that he is the backup 5 for UNC. Sharpe could come to the Knicks and be paired with Mitchell in the frontcourt, and they could become a really good Center rotation, with all of that talent. There is no one else left on the board that really fits what the Knicks need, so Sharpe is the pick here.

THIS PICK NOW BELONGS TO THE KINGS!

The Kings are on the clock with the 14th pick in the draft, and they select Corey Kispert. The Kings already have a good frontcourt and backcourt. What they need is a wing, and Kispert would be a perfect pick for them. Kispert is older than most prospects, but he has one main skill and that skill is the most important one in the NBA and that’s 3 point shooting. He is currently one of the best shooters in the country, and he isn’t slowing down. The fact that he is a little older may turn teams away from him, but his shooting is outstanding. He could come in and be a backup SF for the Kings and he could really make an impact on this team.
