Is this enough to make the Blazers a contender?

Why the Blazers do it - Star Power, obviously. Two perennial All Stars added to give Dame some much needed help. You also keep Scoot, who the Blazers should keep under any circumstances. May have to include more picks, but I think the Bulls and the Timberwolves get decent value considering the recent trade market. This trade makes Portland a threat in the West.

Why the Timberwolves do it - If the Wolves want to build around Anthony Edwards, you need to ship KAT out of town. You committed too much to Rudy Gobert to be able to move him, you'll be stuck with that contract for a while, but this move gives you a solid young core with Anfernee Simons immediately becoming a very good, young running mate to pair with Edwards.

Why the Bulls do it - This trade only really makes sense if the Bulls wanna get younger and let Vucevic walk. Nurkic is a double double machine when healthy and a decent replacement for Vucevic, Grant is younger and more athletic than DeRozan. They do give up Patrick Williams, but that was mostly a salary move and the only other matching salary was Alex Caruso, and with Lonzo's future uncertain, they can't afford to lose him.
