Obviously, this would only ever be considered if Kawhi leaves. But considering Utah is up 2-0 without Mike Conley, that's looking more and more like a legitimate possibility.
Lonzo Ball is a great playmaker and a good shooter. He's not being utilized to his best abilities in New Orleans, where Stan VG runs Point-Zion and Point-Ingram frequently, with Zo being instructed to stand in the corner.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a solid combo-guard who's still on his rookie contract. Nothing too special, but definitely a good player.
Steven Adams is more of a salary-match player, but he's still a good center.
There are also 2 firsts, but those will likely be in the 22-30 range.
More trades would need to be made, but this leaves the Clippers in a better situation than PG left alone on a non-contending roster.
Their rotational players would be:
Lonzo Ball // Nickeil Alexander-Walker // Terance Mann // Marcus Morris // Steven Adams
Patrick Beverley // Luke Kennard // Ivica Zubac, plus some players who'd see a trade very soon.
As for the Pelicans, they'd add a star to help with the playoff push. Assuming they re-sign their guys, their lineup would be:
Eric Bledsoe // Paul George // Brandon Ingram // Zion Williamson // Free Agent Center (perhaps Bobby Portis)
Kira Lewis Jr. // Josh Hart // James Johnson // Jaxson Hayes, in addition to a free agent SG or SF.
