I think this trade makes a lot of sense for both teams. The 76ers are in desperate need of perimeter shot creation and the T-Wolves are in need of some defense and talent.

Russell and Beasley would fit perfectly next to Embiid due to Russell's playmaking and both of their shooting abilities.

On the other hand, KAT is one of the best stretch bigs in the league so this would play into Simmon's play style.

I also think the value for both sides is fair. Even though Simmons was atrocious in the playoffs, he was the runner-up for defensive player of the year. On top of that, he's more talented than Russell and could benefit from playing with a more fitting co-star. George Hill is really salary filler, but he won't hurt you with the minutes he plays. He's also a decent veteran with playoff experience to add to the roster.
