76ers- They do this to finally pair Embid with another Superstar since Simmons clearly won’t become one in Philly. In the process they form a big 3 ( Embid, Dame and Harris)

Lakers- They do this to also for a big three to compete with the Nets ( Lebron, AD and CJ).

Knicks- They do this to continue their push to Contention. They had a great year but they clearly need more to make a deep playoff run. They make Noel their center of the future by trading the injury prone Mitchell for a win now Center.
