Bulls

This is only if they are indeed interested in Gobert... and don't mind his contract.

Chicago's defense was lackluster this season. They have the perimeter defenders in Lonzo, Caruso, Jones Jr, and Ayo Dosunmu. However, they lack legitimate interior defenders. So why not get the best defensive big man in the league? Say what you want about Gobert, but there is no denying that his defense and impact are more than elite. He would not need to carry the defense on his back as he did in Utah because the Bulls already have elite perimeter defenders. Offensively, he would be a lob threat and putback player.

After, they would sign LaVine to a max contract. Then look to sign a PF like, Thad. Young, Kyle Anderson, or even a Jalen Smith.

Lonzo Ball - Zach LaVine - DeMar DeRozan - PF - Gobert. Lonzo Ball - Alex Caruso - Zach LaVine - DeMar DeRozan - Gobert.

Jazz

The Jazz trade Gobert and free up a lot of money. This year they save $9.1M, then next year they will only have $111.7M on the books next year. They also receive a 22-year-old in Coby White, who could be a part of their future plans. A 26-year-old in Jakob Poeltl whose impact is relatively nice for a player as cheap as him. A nice player in Josh Richardson, a first-round pick, and a two-second-round pick in this trade.

Spurs

This is similar to the Pelicans trading for CJ McCollum. They wanted to make the playoffs and got a veteran player. The only difference is that Nikola Vucevic's contract is team-friendly and expiring. The Spurs take a chance on Nikola Vucevic and hope that he can be the skilled post player that he once was. Pairing Vucevic and Dejounte Murray would be a great fit, especially in the Pick-&-Pop and Pick-&-Roll situations. They also get Javonte Green who is an intense, scrappy, and tough player who would fit in the Greg Pop's system.

Questions teams may ask themselves:

Bulls: Do we really want Gobert's contract and do we believe he can raise our ceiling?

Jazz: Do we get enough? Do we value the cap space in a Gobert trade? Do we value Coby White?

Spurs: Do we think that Vucevic raises our ceiling higher than a Jakob Poeltl? Is it worth it?

I honestly believe the Bulls and Spurs take a risk, but it could turn out great for them.
