Bulls begin to blow it up / 76ers and Suns make HUGE "win-now" moves.

Below is a breakdown of why I think each team would agree to this trade.

Bulls:

The writing is on the wall for the bulls. Their window to be serious contenders has closed with this roster. It's time for the bulls to blow it up and start over while acquiring as much draft compensation as they can in the process. Demar Derozan is a good player but is up there in age and his market value is at an all-time low due to his expiring contract. The bulls have two choices, either sell him at below market price or run the risk of losing him while getting nothing in return. Bulls would also benefit from trading Caruso while his market value is still high in order to acquire maximum compensation for him. In this trade, the bulls get a couple of young players that can still develop into quality rotation players (Kenyon Martin Jr, Nassir Little & Jordan Goodwin), two expiring deals to open up over 20 million dollars in the summer, and seven draft picks (2 first and 5 seconds). All while still having Lavine and Vucevic who the bulls could deal for more draft capital and expiring contracts.

76ers:

This year is the perfect year for the 76ers to take a gamble on a player of Derozans caliber Championship windows are more than always very short and I am firm believer that when that window is open, that teams should go "all-in" and capitalize on the opportunity. The 76ers have a luxury that no other team in the NBA, which is having one of their stars on rookie deal. Maxey's is set to get a huge extension this upcoming season but as of right now, his expiring deal is worth 4 million against the cap for the remainder of the season. If there is any time to take a gamble on a one-year rental on potential game changing player, that time is now for the 76ers, and Derozan can be the difference between the 76ers making the finals or losing like years before. Sure, Demar Derozan is up there in age and has an expiring deal but it's very rare for serious contenders to have the opportunity to acquire a player of Derozan's caliber while not gutting your team and draft capital to do so. All the players that they would give up are players that aren't in their rotation with the exception of Covington. They would also acquire an elite catch and shoot threat in Grayson Allen and 3-point corner specialist in Yuta Watanabe.

Suns:

Suns trade all of their remaining trade assets for an elite point of attack defender/ backup point guard with Caruso and add versatility and depth at the forward position with Covington.
