MAVERICKS

The Mavs have finally been able to put it together. The Kyrie Luka dynamic has been great and they’ve found gems in players such as Dante Exum and Grant Williams. However, their bench has been underwhelming at best. This trade allows them to acquire a great two way player good enough to see playoff minutes. In order to do this, they only part ways with two struggling players, a raw prospect, and a second rounder.

HORNETS

The Hornets continue to be at the bottom of the standings. They currently have a frontcourt jam taking time from players who deserve minutes. This trade allows them to alleviate some of that pressure by acquiring a struggling guard who could easily be flipped, a young prospect, an expiring contract, and even a draft pick. This trade won’t move the needle for Charlotte but it will help them give minutes to they young players so they can trend in the right direction
