Explanation:

Domantas Sabonis would be an upgrade over Porzingis. Sabonis play the PF position better than Porzingis and he can still shoot the 3 but doesn't often does.

Trading for Norman Powell would be good. He'll be a good fit besides Luka's playmaking ability. He also can create his own shots and a good defender.

Signings

1st: Re-signed free agent Tim Hardaway Jr. to a 2 year contract worth $26.0M

2nd: Signed free agent DeMar DeRozan to a 3 year contract worth $66.0M

3rd: Signed free agent Richaun Holmes to a 2 year contract worth $22.0M

Explanation:

Re-signing Hardaway Jr. is a must because he has shown that he can be their 2nd best player behind Luka.

Signing DeRozan would be GREAT. DeRozan will enter Free Agency this off-season. For me DeRozan would be a great fit for the Mavericks. Great Scorer and Playmaker. He isn't a good 3 point shooter and defender but he's athletic and one of the best, if not the best Mid-range shooter in the league.

Richaun Holmes would also be good and will definitely be an upgrade for the Center position. Holmes is a good post player. Also a good defender and rebounder + he's still a pretty young player.
