This is an interesting idea because although it doesn’t help the Trailblazers defensive deficiencies it would be cool to see Sabonis go to the team his dad played for and maybe help them compete. The exact value the Pacers necessarily get in this situation might not be exact but in this case they get a young player 2 picks and an expiring contract in Nurkic who is a good player but just not on Sabonis’s level.
