The Mobley/ Allen front court does not have enough spacing to work in the modern NBA. The Cavs add Lauri to fix that problem, and their defense has held up even without Mobley.

The Jazz get a ton of valuable assets for Lauri when his value could be at an all time high. Combined with what they got for Mitchell and Gobert, this gives them a Thunder-level trove of valuable picks.

Sengun has broken out as a centerpiece for the Rockets, but his defense has serious flaws, and getting Mobley could cover up their issues in defending the rim. Also, Sengun's playmaking could help Mobley develop his offensive game.
