Warriors get their big/Bulls fix their timeline

SUCCESS

The warriors have expressed their desire for an offensive minded big man. Unfortunately, many of those players are off the market. However, I believe these two disgruntled teams could come to an agreement on a trade that works best for both sides

WARRIORS

C - Vucevic PF - Green SF - Williams SG - Thompson PG - Curry

Bench - Moody, Paul, Podziemsky, Saric, Jackson-Davis, Payton II

The Warriors have made it clear that they’ll do what they can to get an offensive minded centre who can space the floor. Nikola Vucevic does exactly that for a very reasonable asking price. His spacing would lend itself very well to a Steve Kerr led system. Additionally, Patrick Williams would add some much needed perimeter defence to the starting lineup. They can move on from the disgruntled Jonathan Kuminga and get a good return for him. Overall, this trade provides the warriors what they’ve been asking for without breaking the bank.

BULLS

C - Looney PF - Wiggins SF - DeRozan SG - Levine PG - White

Bench - Kuminga, Caruso, Drummond, Dosunmu, Craig

The Chicago Bulls have a very flawed roster. Although they actually have some good pieces, the ceiling of the current roster is not worth continuing. This trade allows the Bulls to cash in on one of their older assets and get some young players in return. Looney would be able to fill the hole at centre, and Wiggins is playing like he could use a change of scenery. Unfortunately, this comes at the cost of a pick swap. However, Kuminga’s upside, although he hasn’t shown it, gives the bulls a reason to take a chance on him. Overall, this is a good return for an asset that would be much more valuable to another team.
