Why this trade makes sense in my opinion for each team.

Orlando:

Summary: Orlando cleans up log jam at the PG position by dealing PG on an expiring deal and a late first-round pick for much-needed shooting and multiple second-round draft picks.

Detailed Description: Orlando has had a great season so far and has a lot young of players with potential. Having said that, their season hasn't been perfect. The Magic's biggest issue is that they are a poor 3-point shooting team. The Magic rank dead last in 3-point percentage shooting 33.2% as a team. This trade gives them one of the premier catch-and-shoot threats in the NBA with Allen (45.% percent from 3 this year) as well as Corey Kispert who is a young wing that also provides spacing as well (37.9% from 3 this season). Delon Wright is a salary filler who can provide decent backup PG minutes. Markelle Fultz is a good player but the Magic have a position log jam at the point guard position as they already have Anthony black, Cole Anthony, and Suggs. Not to mention, Fultz will probably leave in FA as he is on the last deal of his contract. This trade makes sense for the Magic cause they get great value for much-needed shooting + 3 2nd round picks while only giving up an expiring contract of a PG that they don't need and a draft pick that will probably be towards the latter half of the first round.

Wizards:

Summary: The wizards take one step back to go two steps forward in the future by dealing Avdija for a possible upgrade at PG, two young wings, a first-round pick, and a second-round pick while freeing up cap space.

Detailed description: In this trade scenario, I believe that the Wizards would be the team that would most likely decline this trade. Having said that, I do believe that there is a logical reason as to why the Wizards would say yes. The wizards are in full rebuild mode and are in the process of starting over. This is a time where the wizard's main priority should be attaining draft picks and freeing up cap space. The Markelle Fultz gamble makes sense for them in my opinion because the worst-case scenario for them is that they don't retain him and they free up his 17 million in cap space plus Avidja's poison pill contract while getting two young wings and some draft picks. The best case for the wizards is that Markelle Fultz turns out to be an upgrade over Tyus Jones and they retain him in free agency. This would mean that the wizards would most likely not resign Tyus Jones and get his contract off their books, (14 million). This trade gives them the ability to resign Tyus Jones or Fultz, free up a significant amount in cap space, and acquire a first-round and second-round pick in the process.

Phoenix

Summary: Phoenix goes all in and trades its remaining trade assets for a much-needed athletic and versatile forward.

Phoenix has had its struggles so far this season. Some of those struggles have stemmed from injuries to their big 3, as they are an extremely top-heavy team that relies on its stars to win games and that's a risk that the Suns knew could happen before trading for Beal. The main priority for the Suns should be to get better on the margins and hope that the Big 3 is healthy come playoff time because that is the only chance they have of winning their first title. This move would be a move on the margins for the suns. The Suns don't have a viable athletic and long forward to pair with alongside KD. Sure the shooting is off the charts when the Suns throw their death lineup of BOOK, BEAL, Allen, KD, and Nurkic. Having said that, playing Grayson Allen or Eric Gordon at the 3 is not sustainable. They are too small and the opposing offense takes advantage of that matchup too easily. Avdija is a sneaky athletic forward who plays defense, and rebounds, and isn't a complete zero on the offensive end, which is the type of forward that the Suns desperately need. He would improve the Suns' defense and is a capable offensive player who can punish defenses if left open.
