Adding a rim protector of Allen’s caliber definitely improves Utah’s bench defense, which could help them make an even deeper playoff run. Allen is still quite young at 22 so he can be apart of the team’s future. Allen can not only come off the bench, but has shown he is a starter-caliber player as well.

Cleveland gets a young prospect and a first. They avoid having to pay Allen this off-season.
