Why each team would each trade?

Phoenix Suns: Trading DA plus bench players for multiple quality defensive players that can have a significant impact on the game without having the ball a lot in their hands would be a such a no brainer moves for them as it would maximize their chances to win now with their new Big 3. The teams biggest question mark is defense, lack of size in the frontcourt, and depth. This trade checks off all of those boxes for them. Plus, it solves some of their short-term cap problems.

Brooklyn Nets. The Nets make a block buster move for to try to contend now. They would be getting an elite offensive superstar and would be surrounding him with a very good supporting cast. The trick with this trade will be if the Nets believe that DA can blossom in Brookyln. One might mention that nets are better off keeping Oneal, Finney Smith, and Claxton instead of DA because Claxton is much cheaper than DA and I would agree with them if it were for the sole purpose of contending this year. However, Claxton and Oneal become free agents next offseason and given how the market value for players increases significantly each offseason, their contracts might end up being quite more expensive than DA's contract. That is why this deal makes sense to me. If there is any team that can get the most out of DA, its Brooklyn. DA will have a much bigger offensive role with the Nets instead of the suns and DA's motor on defense and on the glass is at its best when he is involved in the offense consistently. Plus, we have seen that he fits perfect with Mikal and Cam as we saw in their tenure with the suns. Brooklyn Starting 5 would be Dame, Thybulle, Bridges, Cam and DA. The idea is to surround an elite offensive superstar in Dame with a juggernaut of a defensive cast while still maintaining a high level of offensive fire power as Mikal and DA are very solid 2nd and 3rd options. They would still have Dinwiddie off the bench who is very capable of winning 6th man of the year. Plus, they would have the option to be able to go into the luxury tax to make improvements on the margins. The cherry on top of this move is that the nets become title contenders while simultaneously getting rid of Ben Simmons disgusting contract. This trade would require Brooklyn to pay a huge price tag, but it is one that is worth paying in my opinion.

Portland: Let's face it Portland fans. It is about time that the Blazers organization decide to blow up this team and finally rebuild. A priority for the Blazers should be to acquire as many draft picks as they can in exchange for Dame, and they should also look to acquire bad contracts in exchange for draft capital so they can clear up cap space to make meaningful moves when those bad contracts expire. They This move kills two birds with one stone. The Blazers acquire a behemoth of Draft capital in exchange for 1) Damian Lillard and 2) to allow the nets to dump horrible contract on to their books.
