The pistons suck. And this trade won’t make them suck less. However, since they aren’t contending, they should be allocating more minutes to their young players instead of old players on expiring deals. This trade offloads Alec Burks’ minutes. These will likely be absorbed by Jaden Ivey, as many have been concerned with his decreased minutes. They also get a second round pick.

ROCKETS

The rockets surprised a lot of people this year. Their success can be attributed to a combination of young player development and the additions of Vanvleet and Brooks. However, the team could still use some additional scoring off the bench. Alec Burks has proven to be an effective shot creator wherever he goes and should not be very hard to obtain. He would be a great way to round out their regular season rotation without giving up any notable assets.
