The Bucks end up moving Middleton at the deadline for players who are more reliable, and have more upside. Gary Trent Jr. and OG Anounoby fit beautifully next to Giannis and fit perfectly in Mike Budenholzers system. The Bucks lineup will now look like:

PG- Jrue Holiday SG- Gary Trent Jr. SF- OG Anonouby PF- Giannis Antetokounmpo C- Brook Lopez

This is easily the best defensive lineup in the NBA, and will help put the Bucks back up on top of the league. At the rate the Bucks are going, they will be out of contention in 2-3 years, so getting younger, healthier pieces who have upside (star potential in OG) and also can help contribute to a championship now is a smart move.

The Mavs roll the dice here and give up some depth and picks for a legitimate co-star in Middleton. Its a bit risky, as Middleton has battled injuries and did not look particularly great in his return, but I think a price of Hardaway, Finney-Smith, and 2 firsts for a star next to Luka isn't a hefty burden to pay. Middleton would definitely help easy the shot creation load off of Luka. The Mavs lineup is now looking like:

PG- Luka Doncic SG- Spencer Dinwiddie SF- Khris Middleton PF- Christian Wood C- Dwight Powell

If Middleton can return to form, the idea of a lineup of offensive weapons like this surrounding Luka could entice the Mavs to pull the trigger on this.

The Raptors finally decide to move on from some pieces and start a rebuilding/retooling process. They get a collection of role players to help fill out thier depth, and in addition they get THREE unprotected first round picks as assets to fuel a big time trade down the road. Also, depending on how the Middleton situation in Dallas would pan out, and given that Giannis will be 34-35 years old in 2029, these picks have the potential to be very valuable.

If it's still not enough picks, I could see maybe the Mavs throwing in an additional pick, or a 4th team getting involved to give an extra pick.
