The Knicks need another big man to back up Hartenstein and stretch the floor when he sits which Olynyk would provide. Meanwhile, tucker would help boost their perimeter defense for the bench unit. Since they are both on expiring deals, this wouldn't hurt the Knicks salary-wise in the long term, especially since Robinson will be coming back next season anyway.
