Knicks go all in for a championship adding Donovan Mitchell as another shot creator that they desperately need next to Brunson along with flipping Randle and Picks for Lauri Markkanen to space the floor and Jordan Clarkson to come off the bench as the backup point guard. I do believe that even though I wouldn't prefer it the Knicks will heavily consider moving Randle due to him coming off two surgeries in back to back years and he has still yet to show that he can perform on the biggest stage in the playoffs. Some may say he didn't perform because of these injuries but with the clock ticking on a massive Jalen Brunson extension I don't think they will stick with Randle for another season. Below I list the contract extensions and resigning's for the Knicks along with what they should do in the draft and how the lineup will look. These moves would still leave the Knicks comfortably below the NBA's Second Apron Tax Threshold. Let me know thoughts down below?

Extensions: Isaiah Hartenstein: 4 Yr $70,000,000 -2024: $15,000,000 -2025: $18,000,000 -2026: $18,500,000 -2027: $18,500,000

OG Anunoby: 5 Yr $155,928,571 (Opt into player option and extend) -2024: $19,928,571 -2025: $37,500,000 -2026: $35,500,000 -2027: $33,500,000 -2028: $29,500,000

Precious Achiuwa: Bring back on the Qualifying Offer unless team offers him a big contract

Shake Milton: Bring back on cheap reserve player contract

Offer Jalen Brunson the 4 Yr $156,500,000 extension he is eligible for this summer

NBA Draft: First Round Pick (Via NYK): Tyler Smith - Forward - G League Ignite (or Kel'el Ware - Center - Indiana) First Round Picks (via DAL): Bobi Klintman - Forward - Cairns (or Ryan Dunn - Forward - Virginia)

The Knicks would also have a second round pick but I do not think that they will draft three players in this years draft. I think drafting a guard would also make sense for New York but in this scenario landing Donovan Mitchell and Jordan Clarkson along with having Divincenzo off the bench. Even Hart although Thibs plays him at the SF/PF position can play guard In this specific scenario I don't think drafting a guard makes sense. Tyler Smith or Kel'el ware would give the Knicks some Center depth here from losing Mitchell Robinson. Tyler Smith is a 6'10 forward but reports say he may not be done growing and could give the Knicks some minutes as the backup PF/C in the future. Kel'el Ware also would be a good fit but the Knicks could also have Lauri Markkanen slide to the 5 when Hartenstein goes to the bench as he is 7 foot himself. Bobi Klintman would be an awesome pick for the Knicks as a developmental wing who could be an elite 3 and D player if developed properly. Ryan Dunn would also make sense if the Knicks want someone who can step in a little bit next season but Dunn does not offer much of anything on the offensive side of the ball. In the long run Klintman could be a special defensive player with all the traits and some nice offensive upside.

After all these moves the Knicks Rotation could look something like this in the 2024-25 season:

Starting 5: PG: Jalen Brunson SG: Donovan Mitchell SF: OG Anunoby PF: Lauri Markkanen C: Isaiah Hartenstein

Bench: 6th: Jordan Clarkson 7th: Donte Divincenzo 8th: Josh Hart 9th: Precious Achiuwa (Tyler Smith or Kel'el Ware if drafted can give minutes as backup big when ready)

Developmental Pieces and Reserves: RES: Jericho Sims RES: Shake Milton DEV: Bobi Klintman DEV: Tyler Smith
