Hawks finally get what they've been after for years now. An upgraded backcourt and a bigger stronger defender and bucket getter to pair with Trae. Plus, they get another strong defensive player at the PG position in Gabe Vincent to really cover up Trae's size on that side of the ball.
Bulls acquire 2 first round picks as well as a 2nd. This trade is highlighted by the lakers coveted young cheap talent in Rui and Austin Reaves. DLO is only 27 and offers excellent cap flexibility. The bulls can either continue the development of Reeves or Rui which is consistent with their rebuild theme or deepen their war chest with more valuable cheap young assets. This also clears the bulls books for rebuild.
