Good, functional basketball have players that play into their roles. The last few championship teams do not play outright bad players and thats what we are doing right now.

I think on a bare-bones level a lineup Should include

• POA Guard Defender who can shoot,

• Skill Guard who can shoot,

• 3ND Wing,

• Low-Man Help Defender,

• Interior Defender

We have 2 Skilled Guards in AR and DLO, We have two POA guard defenders who can shoot in Gabe and Max. We have two Low men help defender in Rui and LeBron, and We have the DPOY in AD who protects the interior. we also have an incredibly inconsistent 3ND guy in Taurean Prince who simply isnt good enough to start.

That means we need a starting level 3nD guy and and hopefully a backup big to protect the paint during non-AD minutes. This also means that we have a few players who simply don't fit or are straight up bad players--Vando and Wood dont fit while Cam and Hayes are just bad.

With a trade like this we fill in the missing pieces while getting rid of players who dont contribute to winning Lakers Basketball. (Vando can't be traded this year so hopefully he cant develop a corner three during his contract tenure with us).

• 3nD: DFS, Vando (only defense)

• Help: Bron, Rui

• Interior D: AD, Nick.

I know DFS is not the greatest shooter or defender but he would help so much.

Ideal Closing Lineup: Gabe, Reaves, Rui, Bron, AD 6man: DLO
