Yes, I saw how bad KP was in the playoffs. But I also saw those Knicks days. The potential is still there.

I believe that in the right situation, Kristaps Porzingis can be a very good third option. What he needs is: to put on some muscle, a coach who'll hold him accountable (like COTY runner-up Monty Williams), a playmaker who can get him the ball (like CP3), and a physical teammate to remove many physical aspects from KP's game to preserve health (like DeAndre Ayton).

I don't have Phoenix giving up much - only a solid 3&D PF, an okay backup big, a project, and a mediocre 3&D guard (plus a second lmao). But a Mavericks lineup of Luka Doncic, Josh Richardson, Tim Hardaway, Jae Crowder, and Maxi Kleber would've beaten the Clippers, which, combined with the cap flexibility created, gives more than enough reason for Dallas to say yes.

I didn't include any Dallas signings because their options are, more or less, limitless. There's the slim possibility of Kawhi, maybe Lonzo, Gary Trent, John Collins, Jarrett Allen, or perhaps they run it back. Either way, they should be a great team next year. As for the Suns, I'll justify each signing below:

Chris Paul think he should (and will) opt in to his $44.2M option, but I've seen multiple reports saying he'll opt-out for a 3/$100M, so that's what I put here.

Garrett Temple played great on the Bulls this year, playing PG, SG, and even SF. However, he's 35 and ringless, so considering he's only got 1 or 2 productive seasons left in the tank, a minimum to play meaningful minutes on a contender sounds great.

Frank Kaminsky has been a serviceable backup big for his entire career. Since Phoenix doesn't have Bird rights on either Torrey Craig or Cam Payne, they'll need to use their MLE to bring those 2 back, meaning their backup C and SG will have to be on minimums (or via trade). Kaminsky does the job well enough.

Cameron Payne Payne quietly had an incredible season, to his standards. He was one of the better backup PGs in the league and has had key moments in the playoffs thus far. Easily worth bringing back (for a chunk of the MLE).

Torrey Craig Bucks traded this man to Phoenix for cash considerations, after barely giving him minutes in his short-lived Bucks stint. Since then, he's been a phenomenal two-way player for the Suns, and for $3.5M a year, is certainly worth bringing back.
