Pistons receive Myles Turner to be there defensive anchor which they need desperately while also providing floor spacing as a stretch five. Coach Casey loves playing with a stretch five and there has been a noticeable difference in the offense since Kelly olynyk go hurt. Stewart has been okay starting at center but he fits better in more of a Montrezl Harrell type of role coming off the bench and providing energy as a small ball center. Pistons also receive Caris LeVert. He is a Microwave scorer who has also shown flashes as primary creator for a bench unit (ie Brooklyn). Pistons need more consistency in shot creation other than Cade and LeVert can provide. Pistons finally receive Oshae Brissett. Brissett had shown flashes of real stretch capabilities at the four and even has the versatility to play the three. lineup: Cunningham, Hayes, LeVert, Bey, Turner

Pacers receive Jerami Grant. Grant is a better fit schematically for the Pacers. He allows Sabonis to play the 5 and provides a defensive presence both on the perimeter and interior. He’s not the shot blocker that Turner is but you are getting a more switchable defender on the perimeter. Grant also brings shot some shot creation at the for spot and spot three ability. Pacers also receive Hamidou Diallo and Josh Jackson. Both Jackson and Diallo are young, long, and athletic wings. They can provide more defensive capability on the wing and slashing ability to the rim. Pacers also receive Saben Lee and a second round pick. Lee has been up and down with his chances with the Pistons this season but he has been stellar in the G-League. He was averaging close to 30 ppg and has great athleticism and upside as a quick and twitchy guard. To bring equal value the pistons also throw in a second round pick. Lineup: Brogdon, Duarte, Holiday (Healthy Warren), Grant, Sabonis

Overall I think that this trade creates better fits for both teams schematically and progresses both teams forward to becoming winning teams in the future. Maybe the Pistons will have throw in more draft capital but I think that this is a good basis for a trade.
