Fanspo seems to think this would result in 5 additional wins for the Magic and 3 more wins for the Pacer, -1 for Minnesota (so almost a wash for trading KAT).

Why would the wolves do this, shed salary, avoid the 2nd apron which would enable them to keep NAW after the 24-25 season and re-sign Naz Reid after the 25-26 season (if they don't clear that money, it would be almost impossible for the Wolves to retain two of the most important players on the roster). It's really about keeping Naz and NAW over KAT, while acquiring additional shooting, the wolves point guard of the future, anda promising young big.

This trade puts both the Magic and Pacers in contention for homecourt advantage next season.
