So recently there have been rumours that the Mavs have been shopping KP. I think that those rumours aren’t true and here is why.

There isn’t a point in trading him for packages like this, which is what I’ve seen a lot of people suggest. If they do want to trade him, why not wait for when a superstar wants out? Someone like KAT or Beal could ask out (I doubt it with Beal tho), and the Mavs would have a great Center piece for a trade to get one of this stars. OR! They could try and trade for one of these players without trading KP and they would have a pretty damn good big 3. Trading him for more assets doesn’t make sense, as he could be used for bigger purposes.

Second, the Mavs GM has said himself that he was frustrated with all the rumours about them shopping KP. Does that not tell the whole story to you guys? He is basically saying that KP isn’t getting shopped. Is that so hard to understand?

KP, while he has had injury problems, is a really good basketball player, and he can make an impact on this team. With the right piece around him and Luka, this Mavs team could be a legitimate threat.
