The Dallas Mavericks send Willie Cauley Stein, Boban Marjanovic, and a 2025 Top 8 Protected First Round Pick to the OKC Thunder in exchange for George Hill.

The Mavs have had a really disappointing year so far, and some changes need to be made in order for this team to turn things around. With this trade, they get George Hill, a veteran Guard who would fit really well with Luka. The Mavs have lacked two things this season: defence and shooting. Hill would bring both of those things, as he is one of the best shooters in the NBA and an above average defender capable of guarding the other teams best guard. I think that the Mavs are a better team after this trade, and with a few more move they could become a legitimate playoff lock.

The Thunder get pretty good return here for Hill, as they get two big men who provide them with some depth, and a top 8 protected first round pick. Sam Presti adds ANOTHER first round pick to his collection, which secures this teams future even more. I don’t see them getting much better offers than this for Hill, and I may be wrong. Still, this would be good return for the vet and I think that it would be a W for them.
