This trade doesn't work right now but maybe the salaries will work out in the offseason.

With Jamal Murray out all of next season, the Nuggets add a point guard to play alongside Jokic. Westbrook running the offense in transition and Jokic in the half-court could be a scary combination.

Westbrook has two years left on his deal after this season so maybe that doesn't work with a contract extension for Michael Porter Jr. and they might have to trade him before Murray gets back anyway. Maybe the Thunder would take him back then if the Nuggets throw in a 2050 first round pick.

He could be a nice stopgap for while Murray is out.

The Wizards could throw in some heavily protected firsts and second rounders to sweeten the deal to dump Westbrook's contract.

Lonzo Ball could be an easier, cheaper fit but Westbrook sure would be fun.

This is clearly an incomplete trade but maybe it could be tweaked in the future.
