Cavs: Trade Collin Sexton for PJ Washington

The Sexland backcourt will never work, so I propose keeping the one with the higher ceiling. PJ is a good defensive PF, plus Charlotte already has a good young PF (Bridges).

Buying out Kevin Love is necessary because no one will trade for that shitshow of a contract. Signing Dennis Smith Jr. to a 1-year contract worth $5M is cool to take a chance on him, plus a $4.5M team option. Detroit won't match it because they already have Killian Hayes, Saben Lee, and Frank Jackson, all of whom have been better than DSJ.

Hornets: Trade PJ Washington, Terry Rozier, and Cody Zeller for Collin Sexton, Steven Adams, and Jaxson Hayes.

Sexton and LaMelo are a great fit. LaMelo has been good on the defensive end, and in general, has the size of a SG but plays like a PG. Sexton is the opposite of that, which, in this case, works. The two can play off each other, unless one of them miraculously falls off. They'd need to sign a backup SF and PF, but I forgot to include that here.

Pelicans: Trade Steven Adams and Jaxson Hayes for Terry Rozier and Cody Zeller.

Rozier and Lonzo will be a good fit, because Lonzo plays similar to LaMelo, and Melo and Rozier played great together. Simple enough. As for Cody, he's mediocre from mid-range, so he'd be a fine backup center next to Zion. I have them signing Kelly Olynyk, too, who's a better fit next to Zion, and is currently in middle of a career year.
