Trade 1: Paul George for Coby White, Lauri Markkanen, Troy Brown Jr., Denzel Valentine, 2 firsts, and 2 seconds (plus cap filler).
Not as much as was given up for him, obviously, but the circumstances are different. The Clippers overpaid for PG because if they didn't, Kawhi wouldn't have signed with them. The Thunder had leverage. Now, no one has leverage. Who's giving up a bunch of young players for Paul George? Not the Knicks. Not the Hawks. Not the Hornets. I don't think PG would have much of a market, so I think they'd settle for Coby, Lauri, and 2 firsts.
Trade 2: Thaddeus Young (and Ryan Arcidiacono, for salary filler) for Ricky Rubio.
The Wolves finally get a starting PF who can play defense (I love Jaden McDaniels but he's a year or two away). As for the Bulls, they get a starting-caliber playmaking PG.
Signings: Garrett Temple (non-Bird), Daniel Theis (Early-Bird), Paul Millsap (cap space), Reggie Bullock (cap space).
New Rotation:
Ricky Rubio // Garrett Temple
Zach LaVine // Tomas Satoransky
Paul George // Reggie Bullock
Patrick Williams // Paul Millsap
Nikola Vucevic // Daniel Theis
