There are 3 trades in this.
The first is the Raptors give Anuobey for Brooks, Clarke and 2 FRP. The Grizzlies give all of that because Anuobey would be a better fit next to there 2 stars. Brooks is kind of a bullhog, and inefficient. Anuobey is almost as good of a defender, more efficient and not a bullhog. Anuobey is a way better fit, and the Grizzlies should trade Brooks for a defensive forward anyways, so why not Anuboey? He is clearly better, and fits in way better. Although they give up Clarke, they already have Jaren Jackson Jr and Zavier Tilman who are 2 good enough power forwards. This would give Tilman more time at the 4.
Trade 2: Raptors give Brooks for 2 first, 2 seconds and Bogdanovich.
Hawks: The Hawks need defense. Right now, Reddish isn't bad, Hunter is good, but thats really it. Those 2 players aren't enough, and they need a defensive specialist. They make a big risk, as Brooks might turn out to be a bad fit but they give up a bunch of picks for him. By doing this, there defense would be a lot better, and they would get potentially maybe someone who can share the ball, but also be a good number 4 option for them. This move could turn out to be a really good move, because they could get their number 4 option+ significantly upgrading their defense at a low price but there is real risk into it.
Trade 3: Raptors give Anuobey for Clarke, Bogdanovich, 4 FRP and 2 SRP. The Raptors aren't going to win. Lowry will likely leave, and there team wont be good enough. They traded Powell for Trent Jr, and maybe they rebuild with him and Anuobey, but this trade gives them a lot of picks, and also Clarke. They can use Clarke to rebuild with Trent Jr, and use the picks to get some players alongside them. Although it's too bad to trade Anuobey, many teams would want a very good defender that is a good offensive player as well. This move gets them more then his value. The 4 first rounders could be used to get something besides them, or they can be the next Thunder. The Raptors aren't going to win, so why not just completely rebuild?
