The Lakers' first-round exit proved that without a third scorer, the path to LeBron's 5th ring would be much more difficult. Additionally, it showed multiple flaws in the Lakers' roster construction, so I'm here to work through and around those.

Trade 1: Dennis Schroder and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (+ 2 seconds) for Kristaps Porzingis.

This may seem like a low-ball offer, but KP's trade value is at an all-time low, with how horrendous he played this postseason. I think a change of scenery would greatly benefit him. Meanwhile, Dallas would likely flip Dennis for a big (maybe Brook Lopez), but I love KCP's potential fit next to Luka. Either way, Porzingis gotta go.

Trade 2: Kyle Kuzma and the 22nd pick in the draft for Malik Beasley.

Kuz also played horribly this postseason. But that's not who he is. This season, Kyle Kuzma transformed into a glue guy, playing good defense and doing the little things, while also being a solid scorer. I think the Wolves would be lucky to have that. Trading Malik Beasley would hurt, but his fit on the WOlves really isn't there. He plays the same position as Anthony Edwards and his usage takes away from that of D'Angelo Russell. Plus they get a first, which would be nice because Golden State has theirs.

Signings:

Patty Mills (2/$6M, MLE): Very good shooter, brings championship experience and is all in all a great backup PG for any contending team.

Davis Nwaba (2/$6M, MLE): Had an underrated year with Houston, one of the better backup SFs in the league.

Alex Caruso (4/$32M): Had an all-defensive caliber season. The Lakers NEED to bring him back.

Talen Horton-Tucker (4/$32.5M): Decent player, but he needs to be kept for his potential.

Markieff Morris (1/min.): Not the best player, but worth a veteran's minimum. Not much more to say.

Garrett Temple (1/min.): Played great for Chicago but he's 35, and this will likely be his last season. Let him go out with a ring.

Ben McLemore (1/min.): He's a 3&D player without the defense lmao. Worth bringing back, though.

Abdel Nader (1/min.): Just a roster spot.

Jared Dudley (1/min.): Locker room presence/mentor.

Mike Muscala (1/min.): 3rd string center who can shoot the 3 - good fit with AD lmao.
