I can't see Philly doing this, but I can see them being a better team after this.
Trade 1 Tobias Harris and Shake Milton for CJ McCollum (perhaps throw in CJ Elleby from Portland)
This adds a lot of shot creation to Philly while adding size and defense to Portland, plus the Blazers get a good bench piece.
Trade 2: ONLY happens if 2A happens: Ben Simmons and George Hill for Bogdan Bogdanovic and John Collins.
Collins gets his payday (despite rough negotiations with the Atlanta front office) but from the 76ers. The Hawks add a DPOY candidate + secondary playmaker to pair with defensive liability Trae Young. Ben now plays for a good coach.
Trade 2A: Onyeka Okongwu and 2 seconds (via OKC) for Luguentz Dort and Miami's 2023 first
The Thunder get a center with potential through the roof.
The Hawks get a top-tier defensive SG who can also knock down 3's - sounds good next to Trae lmao.
The Thunder also sacrifice a first (though they get 2 of their own seconds back), but that's worth it for the potential that Okongwu brings.
Signings:
Danny Green: 2-year deal worth anywhere between $15M-$17M. Green is a great defender who can score open 3's too.
Dwight Howard: 1-year deal on a veteran's minimum. Dwight was a good backup center for Joel this year, and there's no reason to not bring him back.
Nicolas Batum: 2-year deal worth anywhere between $9M-11.5M (MLE). Batum is one of the better backup PFs in the league, and signing him would also mean prying him away from a fellow contender (the Clippers), which is an added bonus.
New 10-man rotation:
CJ McCollum // Tyrese Maxey
Bogdan Bogdanovic // Seth Curry
Danny Green // Matisse Thybulle (either one can start)
John Collins // Nicolas Batum
Joel Embiid // Dwight Howard
